Which types of contracts are notarized in Dubai?

All contracts, like property sales, rentals, partnership in business, and certain financial documents, must be notarized in order to be deemed legally effective in Dubai. 

Yes, but notarized contracts hold higher legal authority. The notarization of documents lends credibility, and it becomes more complex to challenge them in court regarding their authenticity or enforceability. 

Yes, usually, all signing parties must appear in person in front of the notary, with legitimate identification. That helps make it authentic and discourages disputes later. 

It must, however, be translated by a certified translator before it can be notarized. The original and translation are usually affixed side by side. 

It remains in force as long as indicated in the agreement. However, if no duration is specified, it is enforceable as long as UAE laws allow.
